If you whant to be impressed, Google for photos of wool sheep rams ...
Quote:Nah...it just makes me feel we need to butcher a little younger, before they become trouble makers!
(The testes don't make me hungry either.)
I found these in the chicken I stuffed today. Are they testicles?
Yes, they are!
Wow. Now there's something I never thought I'd see...
I wonder if you could pass those for chicken nuggets. I'll pass.
You'll find them still stuck next to the spine in grocery store birds and grocery store leg quarters all the time.
As far as I'm concerned they go into the stock pot just like the rest of the stuff. And they get strained out and discarded just like everything else that isn't muscle meat.
I never could develop a taste for eating the giblets -- the heart isn't so bad, but the mushy texture of the liver and the rubbery texture of the gizzards are not for me.
My dog did not object to the texture of the testicles, nor does she object to the texture (or taste) of the liver, gizzard or heart.
My sister in law makes pate from the livers, its to die for!
Quote:I love the liver & heart. Even when I didn't eat chicken I loved these. The liver is my favorite part.
