Chicken that never stops talking, even at night

I got a hen that never stops clucking, and yesterday I put a camera in her coop and noticed she would cluck all night long. I don’t know how long she’s been doing that, but it doesn’t seem normal. She will fall asleep, and then wake up and start clucking. It isn’t the alarm call, it’s just a talky kind of cluck. She’s very active and normal during the day, still lays eggs. The night clucking is just strange.

Ps. The only “stimulation” she has is a fan that’s been on since they were moved into the coop back in march. I have no clue what breed she is, but she’s clearly very vocal. And, if it matters at all, I live in Florida and it’s like 95+ degrees with about 90% humidity.

x2, some birds are chatterboxes. I have one that tries to talk even while eating and drinking, even though it makes her choke and sputter.

Some of my hens talk to the eggs in the nest boxes and even talk to the one they are about to lay. And they talk to me as soon as they see me.

But if she is really clucking constantly she might be getting into broody mode.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease, everyone! I guess she’s always been vocal even as a peep, I just never listened closely at night.

We have a hen that’s chatty, too. Although not as much as yours. She’s 2 and re-homed from a friend’s flock that was bullying her.
When she came here, we had a chatty sickly hen, that died 2 weeks later. After Pearl died, Adelie also started getting chatty.

I think she learned that if she’s chatty, she’ll get attention, meaning treats. It also helps us monitor where they are when they’re free roaming in the yard.
