I was at Tractor Supply to "just run in quick" ha ha...all the chicken stuff is out and I started lookingcaround and found a chicken ball toy. Its yellow and opens up to put treats in. Can be hung up or on the ground for them to chase. The chicks are having a great time. I put grass clippings in it. Put a dog play pen in the entryway and let them run around outside their crate. They are 4 weeks old "mystery babies". They stand on their own big feet and then scream. Hit themselves in the head with the ball and screamed. Too funny. I want them to stay friendly and be used to me so they will follow me when I finally let them out.

So cute! Who knew they would ever make toys for chickens. It's wonderful you are taking so much time to try to entertain your chicks. I'm sure they will learn to trust you and follow you in no time.

I just may have to make a quick run to TSC myself, you know, just to take a quick peek.

Better get the brooder dusted off first. ;) Never know when chicken math will strike!

Chickens will push around a small, brightly colored ball- if you have wooden block sets, they like to hop up on them.

Sounds like they are enjoying their toy! That's a good way to interact with them. Keep those treats coming!!
