Over 6 weeks ago my daughter finally talked my wife into getting chickens. I've been wanting to do a Chicken Tractor for a while anyway, so we found somebody on Craigslist with baby chicks (supposedly all female) and brought four home. I've finished the tractor just in time to move them in.

One of the chicks is definitely a boy, so we'll be having a nice fresh dinner when he starts to crow.

Nice work!! You should be proud of yourself. How I wish I knew someone near us that could build us a coop like that đź‘Ť

I put this on the coop page, but I'll also note here that the wheel lifts are really nicely balanced, but the 2x4s for them are not strong enough. I'm going to try 2x6s with metal mending plates, but if that doesn't work I'll go with an all metal kit (maybe this one)

This is with Fusion 360. I'm no drafter so I pretty much only put on the dimensions I knew I needed for cutting.
Did good then!

Nice motion vid there.
Probably strong enough, but if they were longer it would make them easier to lever up.
Weak points in wheel assemblies is usually the pivot points, hard to get them tight so shafts and bushings stay in line.
That's the Cadillac of Coop Wheels....I covet them, too spendy tho.
