Chicken TV, How do you watch ?

I have 2 groups of chickens. Four 5 month olds(The Big Girls), and eleven 3 month olds( The little ones). They all free range. When I come home, the 11 little ones come running.
At my house, only the Little Chicken channel comes in. I sit on a log, sometimes with treats to watch. And then I may go over to my neighbors house, where they will already be outside watchng the Big Girl Chicken channel, which seems to come on in their yard only. I can't get the Big Girl Chicken channel in my yard..

My husband asks me 'is it time for Chicken TV?'

We watch it every night except for Monday night, I'm out during sunset that night and we only let them out when we're home. My friends think I'm crazy when I mention it, all except for my very best friend, who was out there watching them one night with me and pronounced 'Chicken TV is very cool!'. It is a great way to unwind.

My favorite Chicken TV show is the Monkey-See, Monkey-Do episodes.

Let's not forget the fly chasing scenes. The bloopers are side splitting!

Honestly, Chicken TV is the only reality TV I like to watch!

Ya know, before I got chickens if I had read ya'lls posts, I would've probably thought you were a bunch of old granny crazies.

I didn't realize just how entertaining chickens could be. My DH and I usually grab our folding chairs out of my potting shed around 7:30. Sometimes we walk around the run and look for crickets, grasshoppers, etc.

We a currently building another coop. My DH commneted just the other evening how nice it would be to get a huge covered swing to set up there. He's right, it would be nice.

My brother has an awesome two bench covered swing just like what you want, I'll bet. I'm going to get one myself for the backyard, right near the beehives and the chickens. Heaven!

Some nights we hang out with the chickens to watch Chicken TV; but on busy nights we can watch them from our table while we eat (I try not to eat chicken in front of them!

), or we can see them from the kitchen sink and stove. Since I work from home, I can pretty much watch it any time. Poor DH has to leave the house to work, so he can only watch in the evenings. Our cats love to watch in the evening while trying to figure out how to get into the chicken's fenced in yard.

I just love sitting with my girls especially in the late afternoon (I have benches and chairs) listening to their sounds and watching them just be chickens. They are particularily funny chasing the song birds or trying to catch flying bugs. I love watching them on the hillside scratch and dust while I am in the kitchen or in the gardens.

Chicken TV is the best.

I also really like to watch them play catch that w/ the treat, they look like little keystone cops, what a hooot.

chickens and chicken TV has saved me a small fortune, my DH used to come home from work ever couple of weeks and say you want to take a ride? Which meant do you want to go to the casino.
But now I can't go cause I have to be home before dusk to put the chickies to bed. So we get a cup of coffee , treats and watch poultry TV, I have 2 ducks too. And the ducks get very upset if their house door isn't shut , so they are safe.

While I can watch chicken tv from the family room and patio, they watch people tv. It's funny to watch all 10 girls watching for me to walk out the patio door!
