Chicken Vent Problem

Went out this afternoon, and it is completely gone. She is doing very good. I will keep on giving her the wet food and monitoring her for a few days, then she should be good to go back with the flock. I am very happy that she is doing so well, I was definitely expecting the worst but she pulled through.

Are you looking at the vent, or are you going by behavior?

I was able to easily look at my little chick's vent routinely, and her swelling did not go down for three weeks. My chick, however, had a genuinely prolapsed vent, as well as difficulty passing her food. Your situation may be different. I continued with wet food and medication until her vent appeared normal.
