Is there a such thing as a vet that specializes in chickens?

I think the closest you can come is an avain vet. I have never heard of a vet that specializes in chickens.

Hey can i get the name of the avian vet you speak so highly of? We just moved here, have chickens on our farm and seems they have the IB virus to me but wpould like someone to talk to about it, if only to ease my mind. Thanks Mandy 7178242420 text if it pleases you

Here is a link to the veterinary clinic I posted about http://www.vcahospitals.com/smoketown The specific vet I saw there was John Hall - you can read his biography on the website by clicking on "Our Team" and scrolling down. He has treated chickens and was great with mine. Good luck with your chickens.

Edited to say - Welcome to BYC :)
