Feel free to change the title. I certainly cannot find the option to do so! I am happy, so happy that the scabs are coming off! I wonder if baytril got rid of the original issue? Or just the bacterial infection. I wish i knew what she has. I am absolutely terrified to know what happens next.
Is she feeling better too?
Eating better again?

What would you like the new title to say?

Started pecking at her food and drank some water at day two-three of baytril. I fed her by hand, no tube feeding. She swallowed 40 kernels of thawed corn, 30 thawed green peas and 20 flock booster pellets in one go. Washed it down with 2x12ml syringes of plain and probiotic water. Did that for three days, then she looked and felt better and ate some on her own. I am still partial feeding her by hand. Much easier than tube feeding. It doesn't stress her out and i think she enjoys me placing food in her mouth. She does the rest :)
She has gained a few ounces since we started that, and i know she's interested in feed again, since she placed her fluffy butt by the food bowl :celebrate
I'll make her a wet mash in a bit, as she hasn't touched her scrambled egg. I can feel three kernels of corn in her crop and some water. That's what's missing off her breakfast plate, and i saw she made a dent in the oyster shells and chick starter crumble as well. Which makes me SOOO happy :wee

Pick up a can of sardines today when you go to the grocery store.

Sadly, she won't touch sardines, tuna or shrimp :/
I gave her some cooked rice yesterday and some cooked liver. She pecked at it a little bit. I'll cut some chicken breast later and will feed her tiny chunks if she doesn't eat it.
I think you should buy some chick starter crumbles.
I know she has been picky with not feeling good but I think the quicker you get her eating only a complete chicken feed the better.
