Are Marek's tumors fatal? I mean does the bird die quickly? I mean, she's been in this state for almost 11 months now. She is healthy otherwise. Walks fine, poops fine. Lays eggs, good shell quality. I am not sure what the mortality rate is.Yes, cancer can have pus, and so can Marek's tumors.
It depends on where the tumors are. If they have tumors on their internal organs they don't usually live very long, but they can live a long time if the Marek's is limited to the eyes, skin, or sciatic nerve, though the ones with sciatic involvement will die of dehydration or starvation if they don't get supportive care. Are Marek's tumors fatal? I do not see where you posted her age. Mareks tumors start at about two years old but can start earier. They usually have tumors inside as well as outside and they are usually diagnosed upon deathAre Marek's tumors fatal? I mean does the bird die quickly? Her pupils are good. Very good. Her eyes are perfect. I doubt it's ocular Marek's.Can you get some close up pictures of her eyes? Pictures of both eyes would be helpful. If possible, take pictures with and without flash. I am asking because her eyes don't look quite right to me.
