Chicken with bent neck and very unbalanced.

Hi, I have this black chicken (might be a rooster) that is about 29 weeks old (I'm not sure about its breed). For around two months now its head would stay tilted towards the left side. Sometimes, it would fling its head violently, as if trying to scratch its ear.

Thinking that it could be wry neck, I have been feeding it selenium and vitamin E, and occasionally garlic extract for a few weeks, but its neck still stays bent like that. It can still stand up and stretch its neck out straight, head albeit a little tilted. I've also considered that it could be mites, so I have provided it with diatomaceous earth, and have even looked into its ear canal, but have found nothing.

All this time, it has been isolated from the other hens, and only seems comfortable standing and taking a few tiny steps in its box. When I take it out and put it in the garden, its head would just roll and the chicken will tumble all around the garden until it finds a stable support to lean against. There has been a few times when it just tumbles in its box when sitting.

Its appetite is great, always willing to eat its meal (in fact, this chicken might be less picky than the other hens), but it stuggles to drink substantial amounts of water, so I have to feed it bread soaked in water.

Would somebody please be able to identify this ailment, and if there is a cure for it? I don't want to put it down :( .

Thanks.

Looks to be a rooster. If he has feathers on his legs I'd say he's a langshan.
I know onion isn't good for them, could be the same with garlic (not positive with that). Not too sure, if you have a vet somewhere they might know.

Just seen some stuff about wry neck and I think that may be it, here's some stuff I found on it
Thanks for your reply.

I've read the website and I'm quite sure that I have implemented most of the cures they recommended.

My chicken doesn't have feathers on his legs, but I have searched up "langshan" and it looks quite similar to my chicken, the only difference is that mine doesn't seem to want to lift its tail feathers up. Is that something that I should be worried about?

He could be an Australorp if he doesn't have feathers on his legs (that's all I can think of)
He may not be holding his tail feathers up because he is more focused on his head. It's alright as long as he looks healthy (with a bright red comb)
Just keep trying out the stuff and I hope he get better soon

Alright thanks a lot for your advice!

My rooster also somehow falls in his box and flaps violently, trying to get back up. This has happened multiple times in the past few days (already happening twice in the past few hours). Is this also a symptom of wry neck (I can't seem to find this under the list of symptoms associated with wry neeck during my research), or is this some other problem?
