Chicken with blood beak and comb, does she need to see a vet ?

Thanks!
You could put her in a dog crate with shavings all over the ground so she can't peck at anything hard.

If you do this you could put the other mean hen in with the other one as long she doesn't hurt the other. Then they still get free range time.

Try scrambled eggs too.

Update.
Lily's beak is not doing well. It seems to be coming off in layers. And it just keeps getting smaller. What can I do to help ? I know chicken beaks grow, but hers is deteriorating faster then it can grow back.
She only eats soft wet chick food. If I don't give her any, her crop is empty. I don't know if this is because she is having a hard time picking things up or because it's painful.
And please no replies saying she will be fine. She is not. And needs help. Any and all help is very welcom ! Thanks
I meant no harm by saying that in my opinion I thought that she'd be fine. It was simply just my opinion. I've seen some horrible looking hens that's been ripped almost apart that has come back strong. I had one and I honestly thought about putting her down. So glad that I didn't now. You'd never know that she was in such bad shape. Scrambled eggs is a great idea as chick are life mentioned. Good luck and I pray that she makes a full and speedy recovery.

Thank you rIrs roost,
No worries I completely understand. I wouldn't doubt that most other chickens are more resilient. My Lily seems to be sensitive.

It just that she was doing pretty well for a couple days, just needed soft food to fill her crop. But the past few days, the top of her beak seems to be almost breaking down. It looks like it's... shedding? Or pealing ? I know there is a problem because she is having a LOT of trouble eating and drinking.

And I just don't want it to get any shorter ! Her bottom beak is already longer then her top beak by a considerable amount. And she is having a very hard time eating and drinking. I have to mostly hand feed her. I know her beak is sensitive because she is pecking much more lightly then she used to.

Does anyone know of something protective and painless I can put on her beak ? Something to keep it from deteriorating any more then it has ?

And update:
The hen who attacked her has been rehomed to a larger flock. She seems to be doing much better there. She made friends with some pullets.
I put a small pet carrier in their coop and they both seem to like it. (I only have two now ).
And they don't seem to want any scrambled eggs ! Which I was surprised by, I make amazing eggs ! Especially with the fresh yummy ones they lay ! But they seem to be hesitant to new foods they are not used to. Should I try offering it more often? I only have twice.
Thank you !

She occasionally pecks around and has some food in her crop, and is drink some water. But is mostly resting, laying on the ground. Since the one who went after her is in timeout, it's just her and one other. Who she will fallow, and then lay down once the other hen finds a place to peck. And about 7:30 pm she went into the coop by herself to sleep on her normal perch. Usually though they start perching on the outside of the coop and I have to put them in by hand.

Is this normal behavior for a hen who has been through a few rough days ?
Her comb is a nice bright red and looks good, other then her booboos. No new blood so that's good. It all seems to be crusting black/dark red.
I think she is okay, just recovering. But would love to have reassurance !
Thank you all !!!:)
Neosporin works great..she may have a bit of trouble picking up food since the end of her beak us injured..so..if your concerned about her gettin enough to eat..provide a deeper bowl she can sink her beak into to pick up feed easier . Offer a few soft foods to..i just had the same thing happen with a young roo.his beak was really sore..so, i have him a deeper bowl..sprinkled a few meal worms in it a few times s day...bread, squash..watermelon..stuff he could peck at a bit easier. He is staying to himself more to. How big is your coop to chicken ratio? nest box to hen ratio? Sometimes..if hens are crowded and don't have enough nest boxes there can b more squabbles.

I have to mostly hand feed her. I know her beak is sensitive because she is pecking much more lightly then she used to. She is most likely rubbing her beak to sharpen/smooth it. The injured portion on the tip has probly receeded a bit. It will take time to regrow. You can soak her feed a bit to soften it and give her a deep bowl to sink her beak in to grab food easier. Offer lots if soft stuff, scrambled/chooped egg, soft bread, watermelon rind with a nice layer of melon on it is a favorite, squash spears...my hens love cooked rolled oats with a bit of honey and coconut milk.

Poor girl. I hope she gets better soon. I think abraga had a great idea about a deeper bowl. And it very well be that she's trying to sharpen her beak and some of it is coming off. I guess kinda like our finger nail when we smash it bad and it ends up falling off. I know that has to be quite sensitive to her. Hopefully it grows back soon. Glad to hear that she seems to have made friends and that the other hen is gone. She can probably relax better and give it time to heal without worrying about getting picked on. I have a hen that is showing herself the last few days. I'll give her a week. If she don't straighten up she may end up in a pot.
