Kale Chips
Songster
One of my speckleds has a very bloody comb that is bleeding in three places. The others were trying to peck her once I noticed it, and she started sneezing and flicking the blood off her beak. She is the lowest on the pecking order, and yesterday I switched to pellet food instead of crumble because that is what I accidentally bought. I wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable eating it so I watched them all chow down. Once everyone had their fill, the speckled poked around by the food. She started pecking at it enthusiastically, but I couldn't tell if she was actually consuming anything. Then I noticed her comb.
We have dabbed off the blood with a damp paper towel, put petroleum jelly all over it, brought her in the house in a giant cardboard box with shavings, and now I have no clue what to do. Please help!
