chicken with broken beak wont eat or drink

my silkie broke his beak just last night and hes eaten a little bit of mushed up food but womt drink at all. Its been almost 15 hoirs since he last ate or drunk what do i do. it must be extremly painful because he wont touch anything with his beak. as you can see the very tip of his beak bone is exposed. i clean it with hydrogen peroxide and a q tip.

he used to have a very long beak i imagine it must be quite a shock to him.

Poor guy! Hydrogen peroxide burns like hell, so please, use other disinfectant or ointments for further beak care.

He might want to have some scrambles eggs or grated carrots with grated apples and some germ oil, which all is easy to eat and provides some moisture.

But I am pretty sure that Hydrogen Peroxide is not usually a good thing to apply to deep wounds. Like what @LaFleche said, it BURNS. Also, Hydrogen Peroxide can damage healing tissue, causing more harm than good. I could be wrong, but I think you should maybe stop using the Peroxide.

i only used it right when thw accident happened because i didnt have any salinw on hand but thank you ill check that article out.

ive done that and the eggs as well and im gonna stop thw hysrogen peroxide. he ate a little cheese and egg and some moist food but he still refuses to drink. ive have him a little water through a syring about 8 mm or so. should i see a vet. there is an emergency vet clinic not to far from me that sees farm animals

If he won't drink, add a good bit of water to his feed and mush it up till like thin oatmeal. It will be easy on his beak and he'll get water in him that way. Poor little fellow.
