chicken with droopy wing

My 10 week old BLRW roo has a droopy wing, to the point of almost dragging it. I noticed it right before bed last night and hoped it would be better this morning but it wasn't. He has no other symptoms and is eating. I have isolated him till I know what's going on. From what I read on BYC is suspect either an injury, botulism, or Mereks. I hope one of you kind folks can help by sweet boy. Here are the facts:
1. They are on grower feed with some daily treats of BOSS, Meal worms or fruit.
2. bedding in coop is coffee chaff, coop cleaned up daily and bedding is dry.
3. Chickens are in tractor during day and it is moved daily.
4. They are allowed to range for a short time every day supervised.
5. My neighbor has their house sprayed by the pest people yesterday, which I wouldn't have mentioned except I did find a dead mouse this morning so...
6. We are organic, so no pesticides etc.

Cocci is a possibility. Or that poison from the neighbor.

Something may have bitten him or stung him... look closely at his side where the wing droops, and see if he has a knot or bumps where some nasty critter my have bit & stung him...

I can't find anything. there are some broken feathers. I just got off the phone with a vet that thinks it's probably an injury caused by the others picking on him. we'll see what the morning brings. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks everyone.

I have one that's a little like that. Seems someone said here sometimes ones wing feathers grow faster and to tape the wing for support? I'm not sure, you'd better search the forum on that. It seems a little traumatic for a chicken but you do what you have to do.

Now I had another one (adult) that seemed to hold a wing out and I think it drooped a bit. I examined the wing later and the main joint was definitely swelled. Upon looking at the skin underneath, it was bright green!!! Almost the whole wing was this color.

I gave her aspirin (think baby aspirin if you decide she needs it). Anyway, it cleared it up. I don't know how you can 'clear up' gangrene. I don't know what else it could have been. Later I thought maybe it was a blood clot because I didn't see any real injury. So I got lucky with the aspirin.

I know what you could try 1) examine the wing skin and all and 2) trim the feathers on the wing. Sometimes I will trim them so they can't fly over one of our enclosures. Be careful though, you don't want to clip too far, you don't want to hit bone, just feathers. Maybe an inch or so?

They will grow back eventually after about a season.
