When you make a crop bra, the square of cloth supporting the crop should be of a sturdy, non-stretch fabric. I like canvas or cotton duck. The straps can be stretchy, and you will be adjusting the crop several times until you get it just right.

The way you do that is to check the crop in the morning after the hen has rested all night and not eaten or drunk. If the crop still has material in it in the morning, you need to adjust the bra so it holds the crop a bit higher.

It could take several days to get it just right. Don't be in a rush. The hen won't die during this adjustment period as long as she's still eating and drinking and pooping.

Is your hen alert? Is she willing to drink and eat on her own?

The crop bra came in and the bun has significantly reduce in size. She is doing much better and is with her chicken friends.

It came back. It was really good for a week and all of a sudden it double in sized again. I have been giving her yogurt, medicine, and hard boiled egg yolks. I don’t know what happened and I cannot tell if this will be a normal event. I love her so I hope she will be okay

It came back again and I notice another chicken has symptoms too. Do you think they have parasites? How should I treat them? Is it there food? Will they die? They are seperated and I’m really nervous

I haven’t because she’s been having issues walking. I normally keep it in an hour a day. Should I keep it on 24/7. Should I also order another one for bread (the other sick chicken)? Would you recommend treating them for anything? My Dad and I both agreed to change the food we buy them because it’s pellets, which could be difficult for them. Do you recommend any certain type of food?

Is the walking issue new? Is it because of the bra (getting hung up in it) or does she have something else going on (bumblefoot, injury, paralysis, not laying eggs, etc.)?

I'm sorry, I didn't know you had another sick chicken, what's going on with her?

Pellets should not be an issue for them to eat/digest.
