Chicken with lump on side of face HELP!!!

I'm wondering if she has something caught in her throat. You can open her beak by sliding a popsicle stick in her beak the flat way and then gently turn the stick so she opens her mouth. Don't force too hard or push the stick too far in her beak. Open gently and have someone look inside with a flashlight and have a pair of tweezers on hand in case you do see something.

I read a while ago that to numb the area for chicken surgery (if you want to go the feather route) is to use Ambesol for tooth pain.
