I have a 13 week old speckled sussex who has started drooling and has a pale comb. I am having a hard time trying to figure out if it's the heat. Other than the drooling and paleness she moves drinking, chirps and everything else any advice? I brought her in to see if it was heat stress but no change.

Does her crop feel full and spongy like a water balloon? She could have a yeast infection in her crop. Read through this and see if anything fits. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

If she's eaten something moldy, such as discarded fruit from a compose pile, she may have infected her crop with mold. Or if she's been eating a lot of grass, she could have impacted crop.

Her crop is swollen but it is evening and I brought her inside due to the heat and she hasn't drooled since her crop is hard with areas that feel soft

Does she have dirty dish rag breath? Has she been eating a lot of grass? Hard, lumpy, full crop sounds like impacted crop. You can try giving her oil to soften the crop contents.

If you read my article I wrote and linked to, it will save me from having to write it all in your thread. But if you have questions after you read it, I will be glad to answer them.
