Hello, my chicken has swollen eye
I was unable to squeeze any pus out but i did not try too hard. I applied some saline eye drops.
In the past (last year) i was able to squeeze some pus out but this time things seem different.
I did squeeze the eye a little and some eye discharge came out

Thank you so much,

Looks like an eye infection with pus.

General care is to flush the eye with saline, press out and remove pus, then apply an eye ointment like Terramycin eye ointment in the eye 2-3 times a day.

Since you have encountered this before, you may have a chronic respiratory disease within your flock. Hard to know which one without testing. If you lose one, then sending the body for analysis can provide you with more information. You can look up your state lab here: https://www.metzerfarms.com/poultry...jAP4fvoqSgrBuC7-p6BlC-uxeVx9cfAjGZCkZYjGIpe4q

Hey thank you so much, yes i remove the pus this morning. Almost all of it and put some terramycin in.
I'm glad you were able to get most of the pus out, hopefully you can work on it over the next few days and get the rest.

Keep me posted.

Yesterday I strugged but today I did manage to get the rest out.
Only way i could get the final glob out was by pushing it with the bottom eyelid. Previously i was trying to take out small chunks at a time ofc this video was a hard watch

Not sure if this chicken will eat but past 2 days we feed her gatorade mixed with yogurt

Thank you

Does she have any Canker or lesions, mucous inside the beak?

I'd try offering her some wet mushy feed and bits of soft cooked egg to see if you can get her to eat. Of course continue to hydrate.

I'm glad you were able to get more pus out of the eye.

Do you have any antibiotics like Tylosin or Tiamulin (Tiagard/Denagard) on hand?
