Chicken with Worms?

I know I know! I am just saying just like when humans take medicine we can feel a little "off". I don;t see why the chickens wouldn't feel the same!

Again, I agree. It is merely a bodily function to process foreign drugs, no matter the animal. I do not wish to argue only to try and help.

No argument lol. Let me explain; You're right about humans taking meds that could make us feel "off" in some manner for whatever reason. Birds are different; they metabolize meds much quicker and excrete quicker...not really enough time for them to feel "off." The meds either work, or they dont.
Another example; some folks think that chickens get "colds" like humans. Chickens dont get colds, they get a specific disease and remain carriers for life (if they survive)...unlike humans, we get over the cold and are not carriers.

Oh I see! That makes sense and I did not know that. Thank You for explaining that to me! I am still kinda sorta a kid you know so I appreciate your advice very much!

Yup. Birds digest and metabolize meds and nutrition quickly. I've seen respiratory problems over the years that are bacterial or viral. The bacterial ones like Aspergillosis can be remedied with copper sulfate, but virals like Mycoplasmas, Inefectious Bronchitis generally make birds carriers for life even if the symptoms are controlled by Tylan, Denagard, Doxycycline, etc. That is when people have to cull or vaccinate.

ok so i have another question, i wormed my hen that has round worms about 2 weeks ago and she started acting normal, but yesterday she started to act sick, her cone sort of flops over and the tip of it is purple, also she sleeps all the time now. Could this be from round worms, or other types of worms, and how should i do a second worming to get rid of the worms, or is that even the problem??

The comb turning bluish is a sign of dehydration. Has the bird had diarrhea? Is the crop full?
