Chickens & a duck story....Lets add a rabbit??

I am hoping to add ducks and bunnies with my chickens this Spring. I have a silkie named Elsa who will mother anything. She stays broody so I am going to put 2 ducklings with her and let her raise them. I will get tiny bunnies and slowly introduce them to my flock. My rooster loves babies and helps take care of them..

Im sure they will be very happy together. As far as the digging goes......if you have a dig proof barrier around your run , I wouldnt worry about it
Yes, it is definately dig proof, its stops the foxes getting in, so will stop anything getting out.

How lovely the rooster will help take care of them. I hope adding baby ducklings goes well for you. I was very worried bringing Fifi to close to the girls, but she had been through a lot of stress and trauma, so I think the girls calming and friendly, mothering personalities helped her a lot and why they are so close now.

My babies are very caring to the chicks that I hatch they all work together and show them how things are done. My Favorella rooster sits on eggs when girls go out to eat and poop. He is a big old sweetheart.

This is him waiting for me to tell him he can get in my lap. I don't spoil my babies at all.
