Hello!
We have an add-on to the back of our garage, where the previous owners kept their wood stuff, and we want to move our girls out there. But my question about it is, are there any bugs I need to worry about, or is there anything I should do for them in there?

They are in a bad coop that we built this last summer, but the snow fall is going to make it cave in since we didn't build it so well :(
We are in nothern NY if anyone has any insight on it?

Thanks!!!!

I am definately not an expert on this but chickens free ranging eat all sorts of bugs. I am thinking they would probably figure out if something tastes bad or isnt good for them. Bugs in general are good for them to have as an addition to their diet.
As far as the new structure, just make sure there isnt any residue chemicals, etc? And that it has some ventalation without too many drafts/predator proof

Good move on getting them to a safe area. As for bugs, maybe just black widow spiders, if you even have them (maybe they can eat them, not sure). Other then that, you won't have a bug problem for long when you get those chickens back there.

Thanks!! I appreciate the input :) I know they'll be happier in there, and I'm excited because they'll have more room, so I can add in a couple more gals in the spring! lol
