I have 15 hens and 4 ducks ( 1 drake and 3 ducks). Seems like the hens rule the roost. My ducks love to sleep outside. So no problem there. I do have 3 younger hens 5 ( months old) running with my 2 younger ducks ( 1 drake an 1 duck) and the ducks run that roost (but sleep outside as well). I think your ducks and chickens will find a happy medium, just need to be sure you have enough room for them to have their own space outside when needed. Good luck !
