Chickens and fleas?

Thank you all for the help, my new pup and I seem to be the only ones affected or bothered by the fleas. My wife and daughters never get them being in the yard but as soon as I walk out I get several on my ankles and legs. I keep telling them it's because I'm so sweet, I dont think they fall for it though.

These are good too, I use them on my dogs, chickens and horses.

I would like to use something like that just worried about it hurting the 4 month old malinious. How young of a dog could you use it on safely? I'm assuming she is around 25 lbs at this time. Here lately I've been having a lot of flies in coop and around feed trays but I put up some fly strips and its cut them way back but a spray like what your saying would work better i think.

I think 4 moths old is old enough.

Also you may want to talk to your vet about starting your dog on a flea pill.
My real dogs (non chihuahua fake) take a pill every few months named Simparica.
I believe it is recommended for monthly use but it works well at keeping my dogs flea free for a few months at a time.

What crazy people do or have done for years and years doesn't matter much too me...

But... :p
I have used it on week old chicks... it isn't weight dependent so I think your dog will be OK. I would just make sure he can't lick it before it dries.

I don't personally dig giving pills, just too many side effects. But I would consider it differently if I had a long term and persistent problem with no end in sight.

Really... it probably is the sweetness!

My son's gf or my hubby are the ones who are prone to bitten if there is a flea in the same county! The skeeters just my daughter and a specific dog.... LIGHTBULB... I bet chickens face the same thing with mites and lice sometimes.
DE can't work if it get damp or wet.
Or even just in high humidity. :hmm
