Chickens, and where you live

I have 9 chickens in a residential neighborhood in North Florida. Less than half acre and I know I'm the coolest guy on the block.

I live in a semi-rural area on about 1 acre and have the best landlord ever...my sister. Her house is right next door and when she got interested in chickens, I did too...now she's outgrowing them and planning to move on to rabbits, but my addiction is growing! I have three smallish coops (would hold 4-6 chickens each but I prefer more room for my birds) and two of the coops have three each (two hens and roo) and one coop is the bachelor pad with two boys who are awaiting new homes...anyone want a free rooster, btw? lol

Hmmm...that is a total of 8, but I also have a silkie hen with 5 one month olds, 5 two month olds, 1 2 week old cochin chick, 2 2 week old quail, (anyone want a quail??), and 4 eggs left in the incubator, lockdown Tuesday. Total CHICKENs? 20

I live in a subdivision, just outside the city limit. My fenced backyard is about 80' X 80'. I have 4 buff orpington pullets and one silver laced wyandotte roo that sleep in a chicken tractor at night and free range in the backyard during the day. I'm in the process of making a 'playhouse' coop for them and I'll use the tractor for a grow out coop for chicks for our other property. That area is 52 acres and the chickens sleep in a coop at night. We expect (and have had) losses to predators out there, but want to keep a flock of about 20.

I live in the City. Memphis, TN. They really do not allow roosters and have a limit of less than 10.... but I have 6 ducks, and 20-something chickens. I have a large coop and run area and I have 2 brooders, and a incubator that holds 300 eggs

I have about 5 rooster and I am lucky that nobody has complained. I know 2 of my neighbors dont mind, but I have no clue about the people behind me. But I guess it helps that my roosters are banties... silkies and bb bantams. I just love my chickens and I am planning on moving to the country hopefully sometime soon and I will probably have more.

I am smack dab in South Sacramento, totally urban. My lot is less then 10,000 sq feet I am pretty sure, but both my coops are well away from any houses. There is a vote tomorrow on legalizing chickens in Sacramento City, hopefully it will pass! I have 5 chickens

Our lot is 60x160 ft we have 4 dogs 10 rats 1 hampster 28 chickens 4 of which are roos 2 going 2 ducks pond fish and a turtle, and in my incubator I have 23 eggs. Only restrictions here is that your coop has to be 75 feet from neighbors house. My neighbor has 9 chickens 1 rooster 2 ducks and a dog. Also her daughter just informed her that in her ag class they are hatching eggs and she is going to bring home the babies. Around here we are animal horders

I have a decent sized city lot, 4 houses into the city proper. Chickens are allowed until the neighbors complain, so I keep them pacified with eggs! Plus I'm OCD, so smell is never an issue. Nor do I have roosters, and my hens are idiots, so noise isn't an issue either. There might be one that does the egg song, and she is also the only one that knows how a nest box works. They won't tell me they laid, and they make me track it down! This morning I had 3 roost eggs, 2 cracked. Note to self.... deeper bedding to prevent breakage when idiot hens lay in their sleep. Geeze. They act like they're clueless city chickens or something.

I have 2 hens, live 4 blocks from cith hall and the police station. The girls are in a dirt floored coop in the back yard on a tiny lot, nobody even knows they are here, they are so quiet. Pouplation in town is less than 6,000 people.
