Hi everyone! Newly joined member here. I've been a chicken keeper for 3-4 years, we have 100-150 laying hens free ranging on 2.5 acres. I must confess I'm a chicken addict, so I probably own every breed of chicken that lays a large egg, a colored egg, or is unique looking. I enjoy raising chickens mainly because I enjoy providing eggs to people who really appreciate them...and they are great entertainment. In addition, to chickens, I am a bee keeper, I enjoy putting in a couple of large vegetable gardens every year and I am the "human" for 2 beautiful Great Pyrenees. To pay the bills, I work 3-12 hour days in the medical field. I've been enjoying BYC for a couple of years and honestly I thought I was already a member until I tried to make a post today.
