Chickens ate some butter

I just walked outside to find my 2 year old daughter feeding a stick of butter to my 9 week old chickens and indulging in some herself lol. Should I be worried at all? Is it safe for them? At most they probably ate half a stick between 6 birds

They should be ok. They might have runny poop for a while due to eating dairy (if they ate too much dairy), but should clear up within a few days. Although don't let them eat butter all the time, cause they'll get fat and have complications due to a fatty diet.

Thanks for the response, I wasnt too worried but still will be keeping the butter in harder to reach places from now on lol

Was she preparing them for roasting? She needs to feed them some herbs and seasonings too!
