Chickens Biting!

Only the New Hampshire Reds.........thank goodness. LOL But remember they are kin.
I believe they are very aggressive because they are very serious about brooding their eggs. Although I have to say they lost interest in their chicks after a week or so.

This is why I prefer to not let them set their eggs. My other breeds, when broody, are less protective of their eggs and I can reach in and gather with no problem.....just dirty looks and lots of grumbling.
So far the best Moms I've had were my Ameraucanas!!!! Sweet little bearded ladies.
