I have no idea, it kinda seems like it. I’ve dealt with prolapses on animals, that’s exactly what it looked like. I’m just stuck feeling like I could’ve helped her. I kept bathing her and picking off maggots, but I think they had already infested her insides. I don’t know how she got them on her so fast, I was down there the night before. But anyways, I’m thankful she’s finally at peace.
Please don't beat yourself up about it, you did what u could to help her !!! Its so sad and frustrating when they are sick n we don't know what to do but as u said, she's not suffering any more ❤

Treating maggot wounds
  1. Get yourself a vial of Ivermectin injection (available at vet shops). ...
  2. Discard the needle, use only the syringe to squirt the ivermectin carefully 'inside' the wound. ...
  3. After half hour use tweezers etc to take out the dead maggots.
  4. Flush wound with saline (RL) then with Povidone Iodine (betadine).
  5. Do not wash daily, the wound needs time to air (recover), every other day would be okay.
Can fendendazole be used instead of ivermectin?
