Hi all,
My chickens comb looks really dry. It’s been like this for months. The whole flock has recently been treated for mites, lice & worms & it hasn’t changed.
Also- what sort of comb is it?

What is your location? Are you in summer or winter? It could just be dry skin if she is not laying. Coconut oil can be applied or leave it alone. If you think it may be fungal, you could apply some miconazole cream to the comb daily.

I’m in South Australia. We have cool winters. She’s just started laying today & it’s still dry looking. How would I know if it’s fungal?

With it being winter and cold, I think it is just dry skin. The only way to determine fungus is to have a vet take a skin scraping to examine under a microscope.
