Hello,
I just joined Backyard Chickens although I have enjoyed the site for some time. Our family has owned chickens on and off for 15 years but I just now feel like we are starting to understand them (if that is possible).
We currently have 13 in our flock of chickens. Waiting on the arrival on one... any day now. We have a flock of 4 ducks and just hatched 3 little ducks waiting on 9 more. It is a busy time in our coops and boxes.
We have multiple breeds... Easter Eggs Hens, Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, some little white bantams, and mixes of the group. Our Ducks are Pekins, Indian Runners, and Khaki Campbells.
We also have two miniature donkeys who like to mix in with the hens and ducks when we let them free range.
We love having the hens, chicks, ducks,
and ducklings (even the roosters and drakes). They have brought a joy that is hard to measure. Attached are some pictures of our babies. Blessings, Stephanie
