That looks like infection/pus - I don't think chicken have ear wax.
Ear infections can be cause by many things - respiratory illness, dirt/debris in the ear, lice/mite infestation and injury are a few.
If you have vet care, that would be best. You can try following the instruction on post#3 in the following post. Try to remove as much pus as you can.

Thank you! I got worried that they had an ear infection but I will try and remove the eggs as soon as they are layed!You could be rightLet's hope that is the problem.
