Chickens eating eggs

When I first became pregnant I was incredibly fatigued and wasn’t collecting the eggs as frequently as usual. During this time they worked out that they were tasty!! Now I try to collect them as early as possible but they’re obsessed with eating them

What’s the best method to try and put them off?

You can use a roll out nesting box.

They even sell just the tray that can possibly be fitted to existing boxes.

once you got an egg eater its best to replace it .. try not to let that happen, get eggs daily and be sure theres enough 'fluff' in the bottom of your box they dont crack ..

They stand to lay, egg rolls under back wall of nest box into area to collect. They aren’t able to get at them once they roll out of the nest.

Ok thanks! I think I may have a culprit but no idea about who. Now to figure out how to use one in an old metal nesting box

What’s the best method to try and put them off?

Collect more frequently.
Add fake eggs to the nests, including as you remove the real ones.
