Welcome to the forum, chickens are great,

I did the same thing, I bought a farm with 48 acres of land and a few years later we got our first flock. best thing I ever did, I got hooked on the whole farming thing and my chickens, I soon added turkeys and they too were great.

my kids really enjoy feeding the birds and gathering eggs and they love the taste of fresh farm eggs, which taste nothing like store bought.

we are once again expanding this coming spring, we are adding goats and more turkeys and another flock of chickens, just to keep up with the demand of selling eggs to our customers.

BYC is a great place to learn everything you need to know. Enjoy it.

I'll be sure to touch base Ema....but I think as soon as we get the new house built, the chickens will be the first to be movin in! I cant wait two years! lol Thanks for the welcome!
