Noticed this chicken off by herself yesterday acting sick but couldn't see anything visibly wrong with her. Isolated her just to keep an eye on her and today she looks like this 😬😳 super swollen eye/face and her eye when open looks red. Any suggestions?

What does her other eye look like? Is her breathing congested or raspy? Is she still eating and drinking?

Other eye also is swollen and very red but not as severely. No raspy breathing. She's not eating or drinking today except when I put her beak in the water.
Do you notice any pus or watery/bubbly discharge from the eyes?
Look inside her ears, also inside her beak for canker/lesions.

The top of her head looks wet or greasy, is that from ointment?
Flush out her eyes with saline and apply an eye ointment like Terramycin in the eyes.
Try to keep her hydrated.
Hard to know what's going on with her - is she new to you or have you added any new birds within the last 30 days?

Yes that's from putting ointment on eyes.
0 changes to flock aside from in house bred chicks hatching.
She had liquid coming from one eye this morning but it wasnt bubbly and since I've put on ointment this AM it's hard to tell.

How do you look in a chickens ear, that's a new one to me.

How is she doing now?

For ears - see the little tuft of feathers on the side of her head (red arrow), gentle fold those down and you will see her ear canal. It should look relatively clean inside.

Ok thank you! I knew those were their ears but didn't realize you could do that! Her eyes were sealed shut this evening. Irritation and more ointment. They are very red/ bloodshot looking. Some liquid but not puss or bubbles. Super swollen. 😥

Oh no!
Have you checked all over her head for an embedded tick?
Just trying to thing what may be causing this. She's not new to you, no new birds...
Nothing inside the beak(?)
Do you have any antibiotic on hand? If you do, what do you have?

We mixed some tylan powder into her water. Nothing else unusual observed today. If anything it seemed like less watery discharge but more swelling of face and redness of eye whites 😥 her comb also looked less colorful and droopy/shrunken.

Still no signs of pus in the eye, just watery discharge?
I hope the Tylan makes a difference.
