Yesterday I let my hens out, and I decided to pick up one of our old girls and hold her for a bit. She’s a 10-year old Easter Egger named Camilla. She relaxed way easier than she usually does. She hasn’t enjoyed being held since she was 4 or 5. Then I noticed all of her feathers were turned up. Instead of laying flatly down. I was afraid it might be some sort of parasite or something. I lifted her feathers and didn’t see anything. I have never, in my 10 years of chicken-ing, seen this before. I’m concerned. Have any of you guys had this problem before?
Thanks!!
