Chickens have breathing problems.

If this were my flock I would go ahead and treat for worms with either safeguard or valbazen. Because they have never been wormed you might been to treat with wazine first to prevent a roundworm overload.
You could take a stool sample to a vet for a fecal float. Then you would know for sure what worms you are dealing with.
 
I swabbed for gapeworm a today. They don't have any

Yes, sometimes.

One hen has started crowing and right before she crowed she gasped for air and that makes me wonder if she cries to clear her throat or get the kinks out of her neck or something? She's only crowed two days
