Someone else introduced themselves recently from Columbus. They have several chickens. I'm from Columbus, but I left a long time ago. Just call the main number for City Hall and they'll send you in the right direction.

I'm sure chickens are legal there, but do expect a 'No roosters' law and requirements on the placement of your coop, such as the distance from your home to the structure, the distance from the property lines and from the road.

Buckeyes are a great heritage breed. You may enjoy learning about them. But since you're within city limits, you may feel more comfortable with a breed that has a good chance of selecting for females so you don't have to re-home any roosters.

Welcome to BYC 2.gif

It is great that you are checking into legal details before getting chickens
