Chickens in the Run... Sorta

Well, it's Sunday and decided that I'd let them in the run, (currently it doesn't have the metal roof, or even the ladder for that matter). BUT, it meant that I could forgo hauling them from their coop to the temporary run for today. Read: big dog kennel! Obviously, I'll be out here with them all day. Don't want them to think they can blow this popsicle stand!

Well we have a roof! Sans the ridge cap at the moment. But happy to say the kids seem to like it. (That's Chip the other Bielefelder cockerel sitting on my knee in the foreground, isn't he handsome?)

Seems they are less than thrilled with the red cabbage, but they are still picking at it..maybe it's an acquired taste...
