Chickens in winter

The coop is about 8 foot high x 12-15 long and about 5 - 6 foot wide

That's the run, where's the roosts? the enclosure or building the roosts are in?

That looks like a great chicken run, but being in Pennsylvania, you probably need to wrap it around with clear plastIc for winter to prevent wind, rain and snow blowing in constantly leaving the upper sections closer to the roof line open for ventilations.
My chickens are out in their run on daytime even in the winter but have shelter In the coop for egg laying and sleeping at night. If you will notice in my profile photo, the 2 adjacent runs on the left, I normally wrap the hardware cloth walls with cheap clear shower curtains beginning December to February to reduce extremes since the pop door and windows are always open between run and coop.

Actually I think the coop here is the small box inside in the back, on the left? Just going by how the OP described it. If that's the case that looks solid enough to provide shelter, though I'm wondering what the ventilation is like for that unit.

There's actually 2 boxes, the one on the right is the same size, but can't see it in the pic.

I actually leave the chickens out all day sun rise till sun set. I do have a tarp for the whole thing. Just wondered if chickens are okay out side for the winter since I don't have a barn.

Really would help to see a clearer pic of the inside.
I would cover most of the run with some clear plastic to keep wind and snow out of there, leaving the top 4-6" open on the front for ventilation.
Which direction does the front face?

I heat my coop a bit. This is how we do it. Heat lamp inside an inverted planting pot, set on a couple of bricks. I have sand on the floor of my coop so it even warms that up a bit for them.

Heating the coop is not necessary in most cases, I don't know what your climate is like but even with snow and below freezing temperatures most chickens will be fine provided they stay dry, so as long as there's enough ventilation in your coops they should be good. Paneling or covering some of the run in the direction of the wind/rain/snowfall will probably be sufficient for them to be able to use the run throughout the winter.

Scary...and unnecessary(for the birds anyway)
