Has anyone read the "Dexter" books? I've never seen the show, but read all the books. Not normally my style, but they were very interesting. From what I've heard, the show was nothing like the books.
Sidewing, if you like to read I bet you would love Vince Flynn

Is it your week to stay at daddy's already? :gig
This took me more then a good minute to figure out what the heck you were talking about!!! :lau Now I know how my kids feel!! Keeping the hope alive that we'll all live under one roof again......someday. :gig
I always need another view for the simple things too, lol... :/ See??? Yup... :plbb Worm them now... best to do it on their down times anyways... and now will take you through winter to spring and if you get really wet in spring you can worm again to be safe... Valbazen is the best, great choice... either put it on little bits of bread and make sure each one gets a piece or dose individually... if you do individually, I recommend a dosage dropper instead of a syringe... easier to give it... I found at either a Walgreens or CVS the glass bottles of liquid Melatonin have marked droppers, bought a couple of those and emptied the liquid and use the bkttles and droppers for wormer and Ivermectin... Oh, and Lady Grey plopped down and laid that egg right in front of me... got my phone out it time to take the pic as she stood up and walked away, lol... :)
Ok, thank you. Great info! I will get that dropper bottle you are talking about. I did my homework on which was the best one and the valbazen seemed to get the most points, so I ordered a small bottle from a vet online. Now, I just have to figure out the dosages.
Of course she's a show off, lol... but she earned that right... 5 days, 5 eggs... no funky shapes, no drop in size or anything... steady little egg machine from the start... :D ;)

You better be saving those for incubation!! Are you???
Hey SC, look what my brother and I made Four bales, each bale is equivalent to about two wagons of pine straw Heres the baler And theres two wagons of pine straw that will make one bale
That is super cool! I was going to ask if those were pine needles but I guess they are. Never even thought about making hay/straw out of them!
Ross is "Seeing Green"... watch out... :lau
:gig that is so funny!
As for the Calls... ummm... you might gotta fight WV and Ruby for 'em....
Yup!! Lol!! Found someone "local" (2 hours) with mag-pie and I forget the other color. We were chatting because he was trying to sell me two pairs of mandarins. I asked if he would sell the call duck eggs in spring and he said they are his wife's but "maybe if she has extra"....didn't really sound promising at all. But what do you think about the mag-pie? He sent pics from a show they won.
Geez, yall are making me almost want to pick up a good book again. I haven't read one in years. Got on a kick of Patricia Cornwell a while back, guess I need to see what she has written lately.
With 3 boys (one being a baby), I will have to wait at least 5 years before I get the chance to read a good book again! No joke! My goal is to read storeys duck guide this winter! That means I'll have to sacrifice my byc time, tough! :hit

I will have to look up who wrote "The Glass House". Seriously, it disturbed me so badly that I don't even want to give the story line. My aunt recommended it to me, because she knew my story was similar. I told her to never do that again

I tried to google it, but then got sidetracked with work...

which I better get back to now... but let me know the author. I found several with that title and was trying to figure out which one you were talking about.

Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks is awesome. I didn't "read" the whole thing, but a lot of it. And I use it for reference more than I expected!
Good luck with those calls. Magpies are cool! One of the rarer colors, if I remember correctly. I'm sure Ravyn will know though.

I just checked what that guy wrote, he has 6 magpie and 3 chocolate pied. I don't think I've ever heard of chocolate pied. Don't really think I want to try either of those colors though. I still have to do my homework on colors. His wife has gorgeous Sabastapol geese, if anyone is interested in those. I don't have the space or any water but those geese are so beautiful!

I was mistaken. It's "The Glass Castle" by Jeanette Walls

I've read so many books of the authors mentioned above that I could never count them all. Then add in Michner, Tolkein, Herbery and others that write long, complicated series and I'm in.
Love Michner. Tolkien gives me flashbacks :gig
I think they did a great job with the "Ring" movies. All I had growing up was The Hobbit cartoon

I was prepared to hate the movies, but I thought they did a pretty good job, too. (And who could hate Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn?). Was happy they published The Silmarillion but it's so complicated I feel like I need to take notes.

Typo above, meant to say Frank Herbert,

Wonder how many people realize that Led Zeppelin was way into Tolkein?
