Try cooking one. They are good but don't feel bad. My dad can't eat one. He says it tastes great but the more he chews it the bigger it gets and he can't swallow a bite.

Tanning the hide is also really easy. All ya need is a staple gun, board, and some salt.

U probably had the white meat (tail ) think its good, should try the dark meat in the legs & jaws

Jaw meat that's where it's at. Most people snag the tail because it's easy, but it's also fatty, but when you clean them properly the jaw meat among other parts is way wayyy better.

The word "desert" always brings images to mind of the Sahara, but I live in the Arizona Sonora, very different. The roads are mostly dirt, not sand, but both would get hot, yes! But I leave the house very early and never walk in the heat.
