chickens opening doors?

Last night I went out too lock up my chickens, make sure they where in bed, and take out the food. This morning I got up to let them out into the run and to feed them. And to my surprize

they where out. I looked at the poop door and it was opened slightly. I am egar to see if they ddo this again.......and they say chickens are stupid.

Has anyone had simmilar happenings with there chickens?

Uh oh. could something have tried to get in during the night? Other posts relate tales of woe with raccoons and such

chickens are not as stupid as people think, I keep finding that out! Nothing should be able to open the doors but you, make sure you are predator proof!

Thankfully the poop door leads to a enclosed run so it is them doing it. I sleep very lighty as I am worryed about preditors. Iv noticed little hole going underneath the run which is only big enought for a mouse. So I am putting pretty stones from the beach around the coop and hopefully this will stop the mice
