Chickens seem to be scared of their new drinker

chickens can be afraid of anything and everything. Some will not try a new type of treat, or be afraid to come back into the coop if there is no light inside etc., In time they get used to it, or if one brave bird tries it then others usually follow.

Thanks everyone, your advice really is much appreciated

Old plastic drinker is now next to the new one & this morning I have hope - a couple of them had a peck at the outside of the new one

Obviously not quite the right idea, but it's a big step forward from them hiding from it! Hoping they will make the short leap to drinking from it today.

Haha now feel like I may have panicked prematurely in true "new chicken-owner" fashion
