They shouldn't all be prolapsed.

Lice will look like little bugs and clumps of mud at the bases of feathers.
Mites will look like moving sand.
What's the protein on the feed?
Any signs of mice or rats?
we used to use dumor brand but a few month ago switched to producers pride it is for laying hens and it is 16% protein just like the other brand it is calcium fortified as well

16% PROTEIN LAYER PELLETS AND I DON'T SEE ANYTHING ON THEM THAT WOULD INDICATE LICE OR BUGS . I GUESS MICE COULD BE POSSIBLE THERE COOP IS INSIDE A BARN

this picture best suits what my chickens look like when they raise their tails but it is bleeding as well

I have had these chickens since they were chicks almost a year ago. never had a problems with them. they started laying eggs in late sept. oct. of last year. I noticed yesterday that 8 out of my 12 chicken vents are bleeding, they were not the day before or ever. they do not free roam and have a safe and secure coop. I do not understand what is happening. they have been eating and drinking fine and egg production has been good. I don't know what to do.

There are 12 chickens they are smokey pearls they have been on the same diet layerd pellet feed dumor brand there coop is 12x24 foot coop. they have runs and toys to play with. it was just weird that they were fine the day before when I was feeding and watering them then the next day I went down there and 8 out of 12 were bleeding when they raised their tail almost looked like I could see something maybe an egg? also my chickens are white how do I check for lice/mites?

Is this picture your own or one that you found on the internet?

If it's not your own, please get photos of your hens and their vents, it's very helpful when we see the actual birds you are talking about.

Are any other Fowl with the hens, like ducks or waterfowl?

Vent pecking can lead to vent damage and reproductive problems including egg bound and prolapses, but more importantly if not stopped, death. Boredom from not getting outside to roam, overcrowding in the coop and run, not enough protein or an unbalanced feed, too much light or heat in a coop, and more aggressive breeds. It also becomes a learned behavior and a habit if not stopped. Some use pinless peppers on a bully to stop picking. You can find them online with the tool used to apply them. There are videos as well. Many people use an all flock feed that is 20% protein. And a brand name feed might be a little better quality.
