Chickens!!!

I have 2 new pullets and have layed 2 eggs in 2 days. quite impressive! I would like people to answer any questions I may come across as I am only 12 and never had chickens before

Thank you i live in the countryside in the U.K. how's the best way to find people in my area. Also what's the average laying time between each egg? I'm new to this so I'm not quite sure as i have never had chickens before. Thanks

if you click on the last link i gave you, thats the UK thread - go on there and say hi, and ask if anyone is in your area.

The frequency of laying depends on the breed of chicken you have. A commercial laying hen will lay almost every day, until they begin to moult during the winter, then will stop laying for a while. Other breeds aren't such frequent egg layers. If you know what breeds you have, you go to the Breeds Section (tab in brown at the top of the page) and check on their egg-laying abilities.
