Do a search for bumblefoot and scaley mites.

I'm not sure if I can help...but I have a hen that has a growth on her foot also. It is soft and I've tried to drain it, and all that comes out is blood and a little water. And it doesn't seem to stop. Now she has just tried to stay off of it. I've read about bumblefoot and scaley leg mites and it doesn't sound like that. Here are some pics of my girls feet. Top
