I work closely with rare and endangered birds and rabbits so I have to say thank you for choosing a rare breed. I love the idea of a living museum. I didnt know thre was any still around.

so they dont get the game grower till 18 weeks old? boy i am glad you answered that, i would have given this one game grower.
I checked my label and whew...it is not medicated, but it is pellet form. I am not sure if they will eat that. Don't know why, but I think I have mentally defunct chickens, they prefer crumbles over pellets and I end up with more wasted feed.
The only huge difference between starter and grower is the size of the crumbles, starter is finely ground and grower is more course.
rather than toss that bag of pellets take you blender and crush it into crumbles,,
having an art studio I am sure you have a non food blender or cuisinart kicking around, wash thoroughly and crumble them pellets up.

that works also, better than wasting a whole bag of grain.
course a food processor takes the hard work and feeling of self worth/accomplishment right away lol.
funny how we all make do with what we have handy.

I have some orp chicks that are 3 weeks younger than your turkeys and they prefer to eat the adults' pellets over their grower crumbles. Silly things. So I'm willing to bet your turkeys are physically capable of eating the pellets. Convincing them that they should is another matter entirely.
