vnsseed, are you still selling heirloom plants? I checked your website but don't see anything for 2010 and would be interested in some heirloom vegetable plants if you have any.

Gypsy, Gore Place Farm is a wonderful place to visit, they just had their big festival this past Saturday.
They have it every year in April.
They have all kinds of vendors and demonstrations, I bought some beautiful egg and vegetable baskets there as well as some pewter.
These vendors are top notch and then they have the sheap shearing and spinning demos and other livestock, music etc.
I look forward to those festivals all year.

What kind of hatch rate did you get?

My kids love this incubator. It's easy for them to see what happening. Only problem is it doesn't hold enough eggs. I suppose it's a good thing in my case. I have turkey eggs, LF samon faverolles, Sussex and a few silkies in mine at the moment.

Shay you want me to just reuse that form you sent me? And I'll hang it up at my grain mill again?

Did you list it on craigslist?

Ah BUMMER I wish I had known I would have brought my Silver Fox Rabbits. Or at least gone down and enjoyed the hours prowling around.
I could easily have done a demo on them.
some one will have to give me a web site or something so I can throw in with them.

I used to live in Waltham in Rangley Acres, it is across the street from the Gore place (runs parralell with Gore St.) and we used to hit the festival every year. I would set up my handcrafted jewelry and ceramics and did quite well. I was by there the other day on my way home from work in Newton, Mass. and saw the sign for the festival. Glad to see it was still an annual event! The grounds are so nice there.

Yah! I put them in a ziplock and took granny's old wooden roling pin to the batch I fed them this morning!

I have some orp chicks that are 3 weeks younger than your turkeys and they prefer to eat the adults' pellets over their grower crumbles. Silly things. So I'm willing to bet your turkeys are physically capable of eating the pellets. Convincing them that they should is another matter entirely.

I left a dish of the pellets in the cage with them and it appears they did eat some, so maybe I can save my counter top from the pounding it took this morning if they are actually eating the pellets! LOL

We are still selling plants, we just moved the whole operation to our house, rather than taking it on the road. We should be opening our stand here in Mont Vernon in a couple of weeks (next year we will open earlier, we are slacking this year intentionally

). Once I get all my ducks (or chicks, as the case may be

) in a row, I will be updating the website. Let me know if you are looking for something in particular so I can make sure we have it. I also plan on being in Westford for their tailgate sale (I'll have chicks, birds, and can deliver plant orders) and meeting in June (won't make May). Thanks.

Did you get the seeds in? I'm going to Westford Sunday, but won't make it in June. I can't get to Milford this Saturday.

So far we are at 60% with some eggs hitting the 21 day mark tommorow, and we plan on keeping eggs in the incubator for a week or so longer, just in case. I don't think I would want any more eggs hatching, than what the incubator can handle at one time, right now, we will see. See ya soon.
