That was worth the trip in itself huh? I was wondering why you were back from vaca so early! Thought you were gone till Monday from what I saw you post...I think I saw it posted here or on FB ! LOL But what did you end up taking home??? Anything???

No we planned to go from Thursday till Sunday....I plan to many things to be gone on a Monday,we had planned to come home later in the day today but since the weather was so questionable we headed home early which worked well because I had someone wanting to come pick up two laying hens so we had a nice breakfast and headed back....Great end to a relaxing few days....7 birds less,my pet/house sitter probably would have been happier with 7 less before I left...

Shay, that was me that inherited the D'uccles! Oh, we love them!!! Thank you so much for hosting the swap and for your help with my other chicks

My kids already want to know when we can come back!

Darbella, I(tatto'd gal) got a sweet black EE and a little striped gal...what was she again? Hubby asked what kind of chicken she was and I completely blanked! My kids named her Pickle and she was sleeping amongst the EE and 2 D'uccles all snuggled in for the night. Thanks!!! (we love your baby bun too!!!)

Oh a huge thank you to everyone for the support for the porta poty, made it for this month

I emailed a Pycheon breeder tonight asking what they thought and if they can give me some advice and guidence to see if we can get them both up to par.
she is a doll, shy and sweet They are sitting all snugged up together on the roosting bar I put in for them.
Thank you for giving her a chance to see if she can get well.
The litter rooster is a hoot, soooo tiny so cute Tank You Tammi he and the little hen have their own little cage, table center of the wall and the first thing everyone will see.
I am mixing up Vit B in their water and giving them a boot of it in the morning.
I am also going to try a quail trick on them and see if it will help getting them eatig a bit more, I am going to grind up their feed and see if that will help get them eating better.. both are just PO'd enough to say Nope not even thinking about it tonight LOL little stinkers.
Never thought I would have house chickens, but then again I never thought I would have a house goat nor house rabbits. but hmm seems I have had all 3 now.
to bad the husband wont let me have a house pig? geesh whats he thinking

Thanks again for picking up the Sweet Grass and Burbon Turkeys, they are awesome birds.

Thank you for taking her to give her a chance! I am just mentally exhausted and you are the go to for the heritage/critical status birds, so I hope you can help her and the little roo! I searched the boards here and did it for "symptoms of B, B12 deficiency" and she does have some of the symptoms, so get that B into the C (chicken) LOL I must admit I was relieved to hear you ask if it would be OK to see if you could get her well! She has fought for so long and if it is something as simple (?) as that, I will kick myself for not knowing!

LOL thats cute.
Vit B deficiencies are a little known issue with animals and humans. The symptoms of a B deficiency can be and usually are over looked. put off as something else or totally ignored. ( mostly by a physician, and symptoms are easily mistaken for other illnesses)
both birds slept like they have been here for eons, and I will be making them cranky as soon as they decide to wake up. its darker in here than it is in the coop so they are taking the leisure of sleeping in LOL.

I cant wait to hear how they are doing. You are going to love her if she gets well. She is a fighter and has been through a lot. She is so tiny for the breed and I also read that the B deficiency can stunt growth too! I PM'd you the website for the hen saddles because I think I remember you saying you needed them or someone was asking about them,...something like that. Oh, werent the brown turkeys bronze or were they burbon??
