LOL thats cute.
Vit B deficiencies are a little known issue with animals and humans. The symptoms of a B deficiency can be and usually are over looked. put off as something else or totally ignored. ( mostly by a physician, and symptoms are easily mistaken for other illnesses)
both birds slept like they have been here for eons, and I will be making them cranky as soon as they decide to wake up. its darker in here than it is in the coop so they are taking the leisure of sleeping in LOL.

I cant wait to hear how they are doing. You are going to love her if she gets well. She is a fighter and has been through a lot. She is so tiny for the breed and I also read that the B deficiency can stunt growth too! I PM'd you the website for the hen saddles because I think I remember you saying you needed them or someone was asking about them,...something like that. Oh, werent the brown turkeys bronze or were they burbon??

The turkeys are Burbon Reds and I always get them confused with the Bronze, crazy too I know the diifference and mix them up anyways lol. brain cramp.
I will definately keep you posted on how she is doing, I just saw her shake her heas so I'm thinking they are fixin to wake up.
I cant wait to hear this little guy crow, seramas crack me up and I am betting this little guys call is going to be adorable.

What a great day!!! Sorry if I didn't get around much, lots of people-we were so busy we didn't even mange to get out our craft/yard sale stuff, but that's OK came home with less birds. Sorry we didn't get the water over there sooner, we were so busy talking with people and getting birds out and settled. Next time we will bring a couple of cases and more ice for the big cooler. We got home really late last night hit lots of traffic and boy was I exhausted. Poor Sarah she barely stopped yesterday talking with people selling birds and trips for water for those wonderful ducks.... I was tried when I got there this time, must be age gettin to me... We are coming the night before for sure next time, getting too much for a one day trip and I end up being such a bear!!!

We did very well sold pretty much all the Faverolles that Sarah brought and lots of others too. Didn't sell any of the little duckys but that's OK, her Dad was working on a pen for them outside and did pretty well while we were gone. Won't get it finished today, raining pretty hard out there...

Did great!! Only brought home one bird. Not sure where Sarah got him, but a very pretty LF Silver Spangled Hamburg Male. Worked out great Sarah can use him for this years pullets. He's very sweet too.

Oh, Shay our neighbor was so excited when Bryant called her and told her we found a polish roo for her. She's going to pick him up later today!! Thanks

Thanks Again you guys for doing this!!! I think there were lots more people, venders and customers!!!! Was great seeing the supply people there!!!

Shay, thanks so much for the awesome swap. What great weather and great turnout! I'm glad you found such a great home for the little d'uccle pair. I was so tempted to keep them even after my brain fart wore off and I realized they weren't bantam cochins. They are such incredibly sweet birds and I am such a sucker for birds with great temperaments. But I really need to focus on a couple breeds and cut down on the rest.

Thanks Poultry Run Farm (sorry I forget real names so easily) for the two white silkies. They are adorable and so sweeeeeeet! noblehillfarm, I'm so mad at myself for not buying that cute little white naked neck.

As always the food was awesome. Can't beat that rice! I look forward to it every month.

Shay, sorry you didn't get to try a muffin. Don't feel bad, they came out a bit dry. I'll make some better ones next month and save you some (assuming my daughter doesn't mind me slipping away for a few hours on her birthday!).

I hope the Pyncheons do well. I love the look of that breed. I can personally attest to the severe effect a single vitamin deficiency can have, so I hope it's something that simple. I suffered with terrible leg pains for over 10 years before my doctor finally figured out it was a vitamin D deficiency. She should've known just by looking at my ghost white skin!

If anyone needs any Muscovies, I'm still overrun with them!

Great to put a BYC name with a person. Sarah thought it was pretty funny when you asked about them and I said I was holding them for muffi and you said "that's me"

Gypsy, they are pynchons! Silly woman, now I know the lady said the polts were bronze...so are you sure they are burbons? Are they similar looking as poults? She said she just does the heritage breeds, so are burbons a heritage breed?? To me there are onely 3 kinds of turkeys:
1. ones with feathers
2. the one on the table at Thanksgiving
3. some people I know
OK...laughing hard here and need to run to the bathroom.....running.running.........
